MINDS Special Needs Workshop

A riveting discussion on how to foster communication skills with intellectually disabled people took place on 12th October, thanks to our Special Project Division for organising the MINDS Special Needs Workshop! Our guest speaker, Sylvester Ng from MINDS elucidated how to make meaningful conversations with individuals with different abilities. It was inspiring to see a shared commitment from our Special Needs division members towards building empathy and warmth around people with special needs, paving the way for an all-inclusive society!

Mastering Interview Success

We had the pleasure of hosting Lim Mei Yu for an incredibly insightful workshop on mastering interview preparation. The session began with her sharing valuable tips and effective strategies for confidently tackling interview questions, covering everything from crafting impactful responses to navigating tricky topics. Following this, participants had the opportunity to observe a live mock interview, providing a real-time demonstration of techniques in action. The experience was interactive and engaging, with everyone gaining practical knowledge not only from the speaker but also through peer sharing, making it a truly enriching session for all involved.

Ah Gong Ah Ma

Our Community Service Division poured their heart, love, and energy into a memorable day with our 'Ah Gong Ah Ma' at Tzu Chi Seniors Engagement & Enabling Node! The room was filled with lively chatter, laughter, and a wonderful sense of connection as we played interactive games and shared joyful moments with the seniors. It was a truly uplifting experience, and the happiness was mutual—we enjoyed the event every bit as much as they did! With excitement and anticipation, we're already looking forward to our next visit to bring even more smiles and good times.

Speak Up! Presentation Mastery Workshop

The NTU Rotaract Club's Presentation Mastery Workshop, held on October 23 in collaboration with the NTU Toastmasters Club, was a resounding success. As the second session in the Communication Workshop series, the event offered participants valuable insights into public speaking, including voice modulation, body language, and slide design. Attendees also explored strategies for tailoring messages to diverse audiences and crafting impactful speeches. Through interactive activities and hands-on exercises, the workshop fostered enthusiastic participation, empowering members to connect with their audiences and deliver purposeful, engaging messages.

Serve With Your Heart

Our Community Service Division recently organized the 'Serve with Your Heart' Workshop, a heartfelt event focused on equipping volunteers with essential skills to foster meaningful connections with seniors. This workshop emphasized empathy-driven communication and practical techniques for engaging effectively with elderly individuals, building a strong foundation for impactful service. We extend our sincere gratitude to SG Cares@Chua Chu Kang and the Academy of Human Development for their incredible support, and a special shoutout to Ms. Sandra Foo for her inspiring insights and practical tips that truly resonated with everyone. MiGreat Health Serve 2

The International Service Division volunteered at a health carnival on October 26 at JTC Space @ Tuas, supporting the wellness of 476 migrant workers. The event was marked by inspiring moments of camaraderie and joy as we worked together to promote both physical and mental well-being.
