The 40th Annual General Meeting and Installation Night, held on 6th September, concluded successfully. Outgoing directors shared key achievements from the past year, offering valuable insights for incoming members. This success was made possible by the dedication of everyone involved. We warmly welcome the new directors and sub-committee members and look forward to a future filled with meaningful initiatives.
The Publicity and Publications Division's Videography Workshop on September 11 was a resounding success, featuring foundational techniques and valuable knowledge shared by our expert speaker, Mr. Hiew Wei Feng. The event saw enthusiastic participation from attendees, enhancing their creative abilities and offering an engaging experience for all involved. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Hiew and all participants for their contributions in making this workshop a memorable and impactful event.
Organized by HealthServe and led by the dedicated efforts of the International Service Division of the Rotaract Club, our committed volunteers made a meaningful impact by welcoming participants, assisting at each booth, and facilitating seamless event operations. Guided by healthcare professionals, we conducted blood pressure measurements and took time to actively engage with the community, gaining valuable insights into their health concerns and needs. This event not only brought essential health resources to the community but also strengthened our connection and commitment to making a positive difference in their well-being.
The International Service Division, in collaboration with HealthServe Singapore, successfully held its first monthly carnival event on September 28, dedicated to enhancing the well-being of our migrant brothers. Through this initiative, 210 migrant brothers received free medical check-ups and health advice right within their dormitories, promoting early detection and prevention of health issues.
The Youth Development division came together and spent time engaging with children from The Hut at Marine Terrace with fun-filled activities in conjunction with the Mid-Autumn Festival. It was indeed a wonderful and enjoyable festive atmosphere spent with quality time and great people! The children from The Hut had a fantastic time learning about the Mid-Autumn Festival, giving them the chance to appreciate Singapore's rich multicultural celebrations.
